At the heart of our curriculum is our unique, individual learners.
We celebrate and welcome differences within our school community. Our curriculum is based around high-quality texts with a rainbow approach to developing skills, knowledge and concepts.
Our curriculum is underpinned by ‘The Power of Reading’ books and our topics are planned to match the current class book. This gives children the opportunity to fully immerse themselves and explore learning in great depth.
This curriculum design ensures that the needs of individual and small groups of children can be met within the environment of quality first teaching, supported by targeted, proven interventions where appropriate.
We use Rokeby Key qualities, alongside ‘Good to Be Green’ and ‘Class Dojos’ to promote independent positive attitudes and to promote responsibility for learning and future success.
To enable our children to develop their learning in the wider world, families are invited into school to take part and support their children in a range of activities across the year.
