We have some exciting news to share with you about our outdoor learning environments.
Forest Schools are a wonderful way for children to learn about the natural world that they live in. We are very keen to develop our areas outside, particularly the area which runs adjacent to the farm and allotments.
Over the next few years we will be holding fund raising and development events to push this really ambitious project forward and to ensure that our staff are trained appropriately.
Health eating and the food chain are also important areas for our children to understand. We love seeing the children plant, harvest and eat food that they have grown which always tastes much better than shop bought produce.
In order to achieve all this, we will be changing the way we use the farm area which has meant that our animals have moved on to new homes. We are sad to see them go but delighted that we have found them homes where they will live out the rest of their natural lives in 'animal luxury'.
The pigs are now residing in a petting zoo in Oxfordshire, our aged ducks have moved to a free range 'retirement home' which they will share with other ducks, geese and turkeys. Our chickens are being rehomed with Miss Cottrell's mother in law.
Thank you to all our families that have supported us with the farm and we hope ou continue to support our outdoor learning space.
